I’m really happy to announce that I will be holding a weekend retreat next year from Friday April 1st – Sunday April 3rd 2022. The retreat will be held at the beautiful Gradbach Mill near Buxton.

The Mill is situated on the banks of the River Dane in Staffordshire. It is a former silk & flax Mill & is full of rich history and heritage. The Mill has been beautifully restored & is set within 16 acres of land with access to the beautiful Peak District & lots of walks nearby.

Gradbach was once a hive of industry, occupied by busy workers and their families. The Mill was central to the village, originally constructed in 1730 and nearly destroyed by a devastating fire in the late 18th century.
It was rebuilt, and was at first used to process flax before eventually becoming a silk mill. In 1880, the mill stopped silk production and was purchased by Sir John Harpur-Crewe becoming a saw mill before its closure in 1900.

It was derelict for a while, & was even used as a cowshed by local dairy farmers. Then, in 1978, the site was acquired by the YHA and transformed into a hostel and hosted many travellers from all over the world. It is now privately owned & is a beautiful retreat space.

The weekend will begin at 16:30 on Friday 1st April & end at 14:00 on Sunday 3rd April.

During the weekend some of the yoga/meditation sessions will be optional.

See why people in Beeston and Nottingham are enjoying Yoga with Yvonne Patrick.

“I’m so pleased Yvonne teaches nearby. It’s great to find a yoga teacher who is knowledgable, enthusiastic and keen to develop her students to their best potential. I feel that Yvonne puts thought into her classes each week to ensure her students experience well-rounded and well-balanced development.

Yvonne encourages me to put in the effort to improve my practice in a way that doesn’t make me feel too pressured. She also injects light-hearted humour into the classes which means that students warm to her and get to know fellow students well too. The mood of the class is a supportive and welcoming one which is definitely encouraged by Yvonne’s personality.”
